4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Adbert Alzolay lasted five innings in his first outing of the season on Tuesday versus the Milwaukee Brewers. Alzolay allowed four hits, four runs, two walks and struck out four on evening. Alzolay allowed a three-run home run to infielder Travis Shaw in the first inning, but settled down as the game went on. Alzolay is the Cubs top pitching prospect and he earned the fifth spot in the rotation over Alec Mills with a strong spring. Alzolay will have ups and downs like most rookies, but managers should remain patient for now. Alzolay will look for his first victory of the season in a rematch versus the Brewers on Monday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
