4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Hyun-Jin Ryu was the hard-luck loser on Wednesday afternoon when the club fell 2-1 to the Texas Rangers. The soft-tossing lefty worked seven innings but he allowed both runs on seven hits. He produced an excellent K-BB of 7-0 and induced eight ground-ball outs. Rangers second baseman Nick Solak touched Ryu up for a solo home run in the first inning. Through two starts, he now has a 2.92 ERA with 11 hits allowed and a K-BB of 12-1 in 12.1 innings. In his first season in Toronto in 2020, Ryu posted a 2.69 ERA with a K-BB of 72-17 in 67 innings. He remains a solid fantasy option moving forward.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
