4 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns scored a game-high 32 points with 12 rebounds in a 141-137 loss to the Pacers Wednesday. It's Towns' eighth straight double-double- and it came with some uber-efficient shooting from the field, as the big man shot 12-for-17, his best percentage on a minimum of 15 attempts this season. The former Kentucky standout added six assists and a block in 35 minutes. Towns is rolling, having scored 30-plus points with five-plus assists in three of his last four contests to go along with his steady production on the boards. He'll get the Celtics on Friday. They've been a middle-of-the-road matchup for centers, though elite bigs such as Towns have had no trouble against Boston's frontcourt, as evidenced by Joel Embiid's recent 35-point outing.--Tim Capurso
