4 years agoDallas Mavericks power forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) has been deemed questionable to play in Saturday's game versus the Lakers after having sprained his left ankle Thursday. Dallas has been notoriously prudent as it pertains to Porzingis' health this season, although there appears to be optimism that he could take the floor for the showcase contest. Porzingis' 20.4 PPG scoring average remains directly in line with where it sat last season, even as his shooting percentage has risen to a career-best 47.4 percent through his first 39 games. Check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on his status, as Maxi Kleber and Willie Cauley-Stein would stand to benefit directly from an absence by the team's leading rebounder.--Jesse Borek
