4 years agoTexas Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe went 2-for-4 with his sixth home run of the season on Monday during the club's 9-4 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. After just 23 games, the young slugger is now one home run away from matching his career-high in homers. It took him 50 games to accomplish that mark during his rookie season in 2019. His 148 wRC+ is third on the club behind Adolis Garcia and Nick Solak. Lowe's home run output is impressive given his ground-ball rate is nearing 50%. If he can make the adjustment to produce a more consistent, average-or-better launch angle (currently 3.6 degrees), the home runs could really come given his 44% hard-hit rate.--Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
