Kemba Walker Ruled Out For Wednesday’s Contest
4 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker (oblique) had already been ruled out more than 24 hours ahead of Tuesday's game versus Oklahoma City, but now he has also been deemed unavailable to suit up for Wednesday against the Hornets. Marcus Smart can be expected to handle the vast majority of PG duties with Walker down, while Payton Pritchard figures to crack the rotation at an increased rate. The oblique issue varies from the knee ailment that has kept Walker from playing in both legs of back-to-backs for much of the season, with this latest ailment coming at an inopportune time for season-long managers eyeing playoff contributions. The next chance for Walker to get back on the floor comes Friday versus San Antonio.
