Toronto Will Be Without Fred VanVleet For Thursday’s Game
4 years agoToronto Raptors point/shooting guard Fred VanVleet (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against Denver due to continued recovery from a left hip flexor strain. VanVleet played both legs of a back-to-back on Monday and Tuesday, but shot a combined 7-for-27 over 74 combined minutes. VanVleet's absence further depletes the Raptors' dwindling wing depth, as Rodney Hood and Deandre Bembry stand to see elevated minutes. While VanVleet has continued to fire from long range -- with double-digit three-point attempts in three of his last four games -- his injury history and vacillating shooting percentage make him a finicky season-long fantasy asset down the stretch in playoff competition.
