Robert Williams III Exits Early Sunday, Sustains Setback
4 years agoBoston Celtics center Robert Williams III (toe) was able to log just 11 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Heat before an aggravation of his turf toe ailment forced him to the sidelines. Williams was somewhat of a surprise to see take the floor based on previous injury information, but after the game, head coach Brad Stevens confirmed that Williams' availability is murky moving forward. Tristan Thompson stands to be the largest beneficiary of a Williams absence, even as he attempted just a single shot across 32 minutes Sunday. With two of Boston's final four games coming in the next three days, Williams may be best left to the waiver wire in redraft formats to wrap up the regular season.
