4 years agoChicago Bulls power forward/center Daniel Theis (hip) will miss Thursday's contest against Toronto due to a continued hip ailment. Theis returned to start and play 21 minutes in Chicago's most recent outing Tuesday, with Thaddeus Young having snagged a spot start in Theis' most recent absence. Despite his relatively stable floor of production when healthy, Theis' hip injury figures to scuttle his appeal to close the regular season. Both Young and Lauri Markkanen stand to see elevated frontcourt minutes for as long as Theis remains out, with his next chance to return coming Saturday versus the Nets.--Jesse Borek
