4 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (illness) has been given the thumbs up to take the floor for Thursday's game against the Heat. Embiid missed one outing due to an illness, which again took his status right up until tip Thursday. It's been a year of dominance for Embiid whenever he has been on the floor, having obliterated the Heat frontcourt to the tune of a 45-point, 16-rebound performance back on Jan. 12. His return scuttles the fantasy intrigue of Mike Scott and Dwight Howard, both of whom can be expected to reclaim their prior reserve roles.--Jesse Borek
