3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres had a three-hit day in Thursday's loss to the Minnesota Twins. Torres rapped a trio of singles, scoring a run in the first inning on a Giancarlo Stanton homer. The 24-year-old owns a .387 batting average in June with six runs scored and four RBI. Torres still has just three home runs to his name this season and he has traded fly balls for more line drives, which doesn't bode well for his future power numbers. Fortunately, Torres is on-pace for his best season in terms of batting average and on-base percentage, as well as on the basepaths with four swipes already.--Tim Capurso
