3 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Steven Matz improved his record to 7-3 on Saturday as his club defeated the Red Sox 7-2. The lefty gave up just one run over 5 2/3 innings while allowing four hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in the 111-pitch outing. It was a solid start all around for Matz after a rough game versus the Astros last weekend, but he's been hard to predict when he's going to be on his game on any given night. He'll take a 4.26 ERA and 1.35 WHIP into his next scheduled start versus the Yankees at Sahlen Field.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
