3 years agoRory McIlroy can hit a ball a country mile. He ranks second in driving distance at 318.4 yards. However, his just over 55% accuracy is only 173rd. McIlroy has had an up and down Spring, to say the least. He won the Wells Fargo, missed the cut at the Masters, but finished in the top-20 at the Memorial. Torrey Pines South is a par-71 this week and stretches out to nearly 7700 yards. The Scottish golfer must hit long but accuracy is even more paramount. Off the tee, he is a top-ten golfer (ninth in strokes gained). For McIlroy to have a shot, he cannot spray too many drives. Period.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
