3 years agoSam Burns withdrew from the PGA Championship and then a 75-76 weekend derailed him at The Memorial. After a brief hot stretch which included a win at the Valspar and nearly another at the Byron Nelson, Burns has cooled off. Now, he did finish in the top-20 at Torrey Pines in January but again this Torrey Pines South course is a beast. If Burns can just avoid getting in trouble with his tee shots, he may fare better than expected. The problem is the last couple of weeks have seen him miss a lot of fairways. His around the green game ranks 174th so Burns has a lot to fix on a long course and quick. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
