MLB Betting Picks for Monday 6/23 - Moneylines and Totals!

Happy Wednesday RotoBallers! John, aka 'LucidMedia," back with your MLB betting picks for this Wednesday, June 22nd. I hope you all are having a good week, the weekend is almost here! We had a slight hiccup on Monday night, with our second-inning draw ruined by a solo and the Reds sputtering in extras, but we look forward and want to go and get some wins back today!

I will be doing these picks for you every Monday and Wednesday going forward this baseball season. Just to let you know, I mainly bet on FanDuel Sportsbook, and that's where the odds below will be coming from. I know not everyone is able to bet on Fanduel, so if you are betting elsewhere just make sure to shop around and find the best odds.

We have been really increasing our sports betting content at RotoBaller, and this year will be no different. Tommy Bell (@BellRoto) will be handling things over in our premium offering. Steve Janik (@stevejanik6) will be carrying the free picks on during the week throughout the season with some help from yours truly. And Kipp Heisterman (@kipppsta) brings you the Monkey Knife Fight picks. Let's make some money and have fun. but remember, please gamble responsibly! The RotoBaller team has had a great month of June on the books so far, so let's finish it out strong and make some money!

Chicago White Sox @ Pittsburgh Pirates

O/U: 8.5 | Moneyline: PIT +136

CWS: Dylan Cease | PIT: Chase De Jong

I took the night off last evening, but I was shocked to find out that Pittsburgh actually took it to Chicago last night. The Sox are now in the midst of a five-game losing streak. They'll be sending Dylan Cease out to the mound. Cease has had a few tough starts this year but generally speaking, has been really good. He matches up well with the Buccos, as he pitches better against left-handed hitters, where Pittsburgh does most of their damage. Chase De Jong will toe the bump for the Pirates. The White Sox look to make this a "get right game" as De Jong comes in with a 6.50 xFIP and is allowing a 41.3% hard contact rate.

The Sox have been cold at the plate, but expect them to turn it around in this one. Grab the Sox at a discounted price

Pick: White Sox Moneyline (-152), FanDuel Sportsbook

Milwaukee Brewers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: ARI +154

MIL: Brandon Woodruff | ARI: Caleb Smith

The Diamondbacks finally won a game the other night, eh? I don't anticipate them going on an uptrend now, as they just got shut down by Freddy Peralta last night. They now have to face Brandon Woodruff, who in my opinion is the best of the Brewers' top three (sorry Corbin, still love you, bro). Woody got "Coors'd" in his last start, but is still carrying a 2.91 xFIP into this one today, along with a 31.5% K-rate.

He'll be going up against Caleb Smith, who carries a 5.00 xFIP into the matchup. Smith is coming off of a great start against the Dodgers, and actually fairly shut the Brewers down earlier this year, going five innings and struck out eight. The Brewers, however, do have a .554 wOBA + ISO against lefties this season. With how the schedules have played out this year, pitchers facing the same team for the second time in a month, and I expect this trend to continue.

It's a steep price to lay on the moneyline, but I think the Brewers turn it up this afternoon and beat the Diamondbacks who will likely be without Eduardo Escobar. Look for Brewers to put the ball in play, get Smith out of there early, and feast on the Arizona bullpen

Pick: Brewers Moneyline (-177), FanDuel Sportsbook

Boston Red Sox @ Tampa Bay Rays

O/U: 8.5 | Moneyline: TB -146

BOS: Garrett Richards | TB: Rich Hill

The Rays called up the number one prospect in all of baseball this week, stud infielder Wander Franco. Franco is an absolute stud and invigorated the Rays offense to five runs going 2-4 with a three-run jack. Despite the loss, Rays fans should be excited about this kid going forward. He gets to face Garrett Richards tonight, who's given up at least two earned runs in every start in the last month and brings a 5.07 xFIP into tonight's AL East showdown.

Rich Hill hasn't been very good either, as, despite his 4.23 xFIP, he has struggled of late, giving up 8 earned runs over his last 9.2 innings pitched. I don't really like picking a winner here, but the over is 3-0 in Boston vs. Tampa Bay matchups this year, including a 14 run game last night, so I like the small number here.

Pick: Over 8.5 (-110), FanDuel Sportsbook
