Chris Paul May Decline Player Option
3 years agoPhoenix Suns guard Chris Paul has reportedly been telling those close to him that he plans to opt-out at the end of the season, whenever that may be. The 36-year-old is rumored to forgo his $44 million player option and inquire about a two-year contract, whether it be in Phoenix or elsewhere. Paul has enjoyed a career resurgence during his lone season with the Suns, averaging 16.4 points, 8.9 assists, and 1.4 steals while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. As a result, he is expected to draw plenty of interest from teams throughout the league, primarily due to the limited amount of quality players in the upcoming free agency class.
