Happy Monday RotoBallers! John, aka 'LucidMedia," back with your MLB betting picks for this Monday, June 28th. I hope you all had a great weekend! I said on Wednesday we'd bounce back from last Monday's sputtering, and we did just that, going 3-0 (+2.13 units) on our plays! Let's keep that momentum going today as we open up a new week. We have a decent-sized slate tonight, but I'm really eyeing two games that we can look to take advantage of some value.
I will be doing these picks for you every Monday and Wednesday going forward this baseball season. Just to let you know, I mainly bet on FanDuel Sportsbook, and that's where the odds below will be coming from. I know not everyone is able to bet on Fanduel, so if you are betting elsewhere just make sure to shop around and find the best odds.
We have been really increasing our sports betting content at RotoBaller, and this year will be no different. Tommy Bell (@BellRoto) will be handling things over in our premium offering. Steve Janik (@stevejanik6) will be carrying the free picks on during the week throughout the season with some help from yours truly. And Kipp Heisterman (@kipppsta) brings you the Monkey Knife Fight picks. Let's make some money and have fun. but remember, please gamble responsibly! The RotoBaller team has had a great month of June on the books so far, so let's finish it out strong and make some money!

Baltimore Orioles @ Houston Astros
O/U: 9.5 | Moneyline: HOU -300
BAL: Tom Eshelman | HOU: Zack Greinke
I've been backing the Astros for a few weeks now as they've been hot, and they've minimally let me down. Just a week ago they swept the Orioles in Baltimore, outscoring them 26-3 in the process. They now get to square off against the O's this time at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros are 26-13 this year.
Tom Eshelman (0-1, 7.27) will toe the rubber for Baltimore this evening. He just squared off against the Astros on Wednesday, allowing six earned runs in four innings. Zack Greinke (8-2, 3.56) will run it back against Baltimore, after going 7.1 innings and allowing just one earned run on Tuesday.
The Astros have one of the most dominant offenses in the league, amassing 5.73 runs per game, the most in the Majors. Eshelman and the Astros have struggled on the road, as they are 12-28 and have lost 22 of 23 away from home. This is a classic smash spot for Houston, and I expect them to deliver
Pick: Astros -1.5 (-154) and Astros Team Total o5.5, FanDuel Sportsbook
Chicago Cubs @ Milwaukee Brewers
O/U: 7.5 | Moneyline: MIL -144
CHC: Kyle Hendricks | MIL: Freddy Peralta
The Cubs and Brewers match up in an NL Central showdown tonight, with Kyle Hendricks squaring up against Freddy Peralta. It should be a quality matchup of power vs. finesse, with no substances needed ;).
I'm higher on Freddy Peralta than Hendricks of course, but I think both of them should see success. We'll be looking at the first inning draw here, as neither offenses are apt to scoring early. Both offenses are in the bottom third in first-inning runs, with the Cubs scoring just 0.45 runs per first inning on the road and the Brewers scoring a measly 0.38 runs per first inning at home.
The Cubs are not only being blanked in the first inning, but they've been striking out in droves as well. In their last two games, they've struck out 16 and 15 times respectively. This isn't a good indicator as Peralta has struck out a whopping 37.5% of hitters this season. Peralta is also striking out the projected Cubs starters at a 36% clip. I like the over on Freddy's strikeout total tonight as well.
Picks: First-Inning Draw (-125) and Freddy Peralta over 7.5 strikeouts (+102), FanDuel Sportsbook
