Tylor Megill Impresses Again On Monday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Tylor Megill went five innings allowing just one earned run on two hits and two walks while striking out seven in the Mets 4-2 win over the Brewers on Monday. The rookie has now posted a 3.77 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, and struck out 19 batters over 14 1/3 innings pitched in his first three major league starts. Only two other Mets pitchers in their history, Matt Harvey (23) and Steven Matz (20), have registered more strikeouts over their first three career starts. Megill is quickly gaining fantasy relevance in not only deeper formats, but also shallow leagues, especially given his strikeout potential, which he also exhibited in the minor leagues. Megill is next scheduled to face the Pirates at home on Saturday in what should be a favorable matchup. He should make for a great low-cost DFS streaming option as well as a waiver wire pickup for managers in need of pitching help in most formats.
