Cody Bellinger Continues To Struggle
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in a 9-6 loss to the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. Bellinger has really been struggling at the dish since his return from the injured list. He is just 2-for-23 (.087/.185/.087) with one RBI over the last seven games. For the season, he's got a .186 batting average, .613 OPS, three home runs, and 15 RBI over 102 at-bats. The former NL MVP is a potential league winner when he's locked in at the dish but he's been a massive letdown up to this point in the season. He's dealt with some bad luck injuries, which have stunted his production, but he's simply not getting it done at the plate. He has a whole second half to turn things around though and there's no point in selling low. Some time away during the All-Star break should be good for him.
