3 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres collected a pair of RBI in Wednesday's win over the Seattle Mariners. Torres helped get the Yankees started in the first inning with a two-run single to extend the lead to 3-0. It was a well-hit ball, traveling at 104.2 MPH with an expected batting average of .600. Torres has five RBI in his last five games but still owns an underwhelming .239 batting average with just three home runs and a .633 OPS. Career-worst marks in groundball rate, fly-ball rate, and HR/FB rate have all contributed to the power outage for Torres, with little in his profile suggesting an immediate turnaround in the second half. Fantasy managers should continue to hold in the hopes that he can correct some things mechanically for the second half.--Tim Capurso
