Logan Webb Optioned To Triple-A
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb was optioned to Triple-A on Saturday. The team optioned the hurler to make room for Joey Bart on the active roster. Webb was activated from the injured list to start on Friday and tossed three scoreless innings against the Washington Nationals, allowing just one hit while striking out four. With Webb's next turn in the rotation not until after the All-Star break, this seems more like a move to add some extra catching depth in the short term. This is all purely speculative, but Webb seems like a good bet to rejoin San Francisco's rotation following the All-Star break. The right-handed starter has pitched to a 3.63 ERA and a 3.15 FIP in 52 innings. He has also struck out 58 while walking just 17 batters. With his bat-missing ability and a spot in a contender's rotation, Webb should be a solid fantasy option moving forward in all leagues.
