Tyler Stephenson Picks Up Two Hits In Win Sunday
3 years agoCincinnati Reds catcher Tyler Stephenson went 2-for-4 with two singles in a 3-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. The rookie backstop has been impressive as Cincy's backup catcher this season, finishing the first half with a .282 average, five homers, 34 runs, and 22 RBI in 195 at-bats. He's been hot at the plate of late, posting a .341 average over his past 15 games. While he isn't getting consistent enough playing time to consider in standard mixed leagues, Stephenson should be rostered in all dynasty leagues going forward. He could become an impact bat in fantasy if he takes over the starting catcher role for the Reds.
