Evan White To Undergo Season-Ending Surgery
3 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White (hip) will miss the rest of the season as he undergoes surgery. White was originally placed on the injured list March 14, but the team discovered that "the injury is more ominous than we thought" according to general manager Jerry DiPoto. This is a major setback for White, who was already struggling to a .165/.235/.308 slash line this season. He can be dropped in all formats. Jake Bauers, Ty France, and Luis Torrens figure to pick up reps at first base.
