Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - Waiver Wire Picks for Sunday 7/25

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for a lackluster start by Lucas Giolito on Friday, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We only have five pitchers going that are rostered in more than 90% of ESPN leagues. Four more are owned in more than half of leagues. That leaves us with a very large pool of pitchers to choose from today, including Rich Hill making a start for his new team against an old foe in Toronto. Who is worth taking a shot on? Let's go exploring!

Hitter Streamers for 7/25 - Shallow Leagues

Akil Baddoo (OF, LHB, DET) - 44.1% Rostered

Matchup: at KC LHP Daniel Lynch

We here at RotoBaller have been touting Baddoo as a waiver pickup for the last couple of weeks, and unfortunately, not many have taken notice. Baddoo has come out of the break on an absolute tear. He has three homers, 10 RBI, eight runs scored, and a steal in seven games. He's batting leadoff for a suddenly dangerous Detroit lineup. The Tigers sat him against a lefty on Friday, but I do expect them to throw him out here against the rookie Lynch, who has been destroyed at the MLB level this year.

Joey Votto (1B, LHB, CIN) - 39.3% Rostered

Matchup: vs. STL RHP Johan Oviedo

The 37-year-old Votto has also come out of the break strong. He is hitting .435 in those eight games with five runs scored, two homers, and five RBI. Votto's main strength in fantasy has always been his plus average and his ability to drive in runs. That's exactly what he's giving us right now. The power is just a little bit of a bonus.

Eric Haase (C/OF, RHB, DET) - 38.9% Rostered

Matchup: at KC LHP Daniel Lynch

We are going to be loading up on free Detroit righties today. The fact that they are free is a bit disturbing on its own considering the success of the Detroit offense lately, but that's a story for another day. The only story that we need to know here is that the Tigers are feasting on Royals pitching this weekend, and that was before they summoned a guy with a 15.75 ERA in three career starts who only lasted a combined eight innings in those three games. Haase already has two homers since the break despite not starting three of those games. Expect him front and center this afternoon.

Jeimer Candelario (3B, RHB, DET) - 26.6% Rostered

Matchup: at KC LHP Daniel Lynch

Like most of the Detroit offense, Candelario has also hit the ground running in the second half. He is hitting .375 with two homers and seven RBI since the break with three runs scored. I've already covered Lynch's struggles and just how good the Tigers bats have been against this staff. If you need some power to close out the week, go scoop up all of the Tigers available in your league.

Hitter Streamers for 7/25 - Deeper Leagues

Harrison Bader (OF, RHB, STL) - 14.5% Rostered

Matchup: at CIN RHP Sonny Gray

Bader is hitting .400 with a homer, five runs scored, and five RBI coming out of the All-Star break. The whole Cardinals lineup as a whole has performed much better lately. Considering Bader even drove in a run against the rejuvenated Luis Castillo last night, Sonny Gray doesn't really scare me here. I expect Bader's hot streak to continue.

Yandy Diaz (1B/3B, RHB, TB) - 13.6% Rostered

Matchup: at CLE RHP Triston McKenzie

Diaz entered the break hot and has come out of it equally scorching. He is hitting .350 since the break with two homers, four RBI, and four runs scored. Diaz is now hitting .350 in 11 July games with three homers and eight RBI. Ride him while he's hot, especially in a revenge series in Cleveland.

Daulton Varsho (C/OF, LHB, ARI) - 9.9% Rostered

Matchup: at CHC RHP Trevor Williams

We are getting a glimpse of why Varsho is one of Arizona's best prospects right now. He has homered in three straight games now and driven in eight runs in the past four games, all while posting multiple hits in each of those. I don't think Arizona will give him a day off while he's this hot. Look for Varsho to be somewhere in the Arizona outfield and perhaps in a more beneficial slot in the batting order.

Alex Dickerson (OF, LHB, SF) - 9.3% Rostered

Matchup: vs. PIT RHP JT Brubaker

This Giants lineup is without Brandon Belt, Evan Longoria, and Brandon Crawford. That means that guys like Dickerson who are normally buried in the lower third of the order are now getting the chance to showcase their skills in a more meaningful spot in the batting order. Dickerson is one of those guys who is taking advantage. He is hitting .280 with two homers and four RBI since the break in the strong side of an outfield platoon. Considering the recent struggles of Brubaker, I'll throw Dickerson in there and see if he can poach another homer.

Pitcher Streamers for 7/25 - Shallow Leagues

Tarik Skubal (LHP, DET) - 40.8% rostered

Matchup: at Kansas City

After a bit of a rough start to his career, Skubal has posted a 3.34 ERA in his last 10 starts. His first start against the Royals this year was an adventure in which he didn't make it out of the third inning. His second start against them was in Kansas City about five weeks ago and went much better. Skubal gave up three runs in six innings while striking out seven en route to the win. That's a nice find on waivers to close out the week!

Pitcher Streamers for 7/25 - Deeper Leagues

Touki Toussaint (RHP, ATL) - 13% rostered

Matchup: at Philadelphia

Advertising

If you're looking to net a win, this probably isn't the spot for you. Don't expect Touki to go out there and beat Aaron Nola today. However, his 2021 debut was solid enough against a good San Diego team that he can be considered here. Touki wasn't overly efficient, but he did almost make it through seven innings in his 80 pitches and only allowed five baserunners while striking out five. He should give us decent strikeout totals and hopefully enough of a boost to ratios to close out the week if you're in the market for a few extra strikeouts.
