3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald seemed momentarily like he might slot into the closer job after the Houston Astros acquired Kendall Graveman days before the trade deadline, but Seattle went on to add Diego Castillo from the Rays, pushing Sewald back into a setup role. He fulfilled that role Friday, striking out two Texas Rangers in a scoreless outing. He now has eight holds on the year, and though he won't see an uptick in saves, he's still an excellent value for strikeouts.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
