3 years agoJustin Thomas won this tournament last year and has the tools to possibly repeat as champion. Strokes gained from tee-to-green is pretty vital on the Memphis course. Eight of the last ten winners have topped the category. Thomas ranks sixth this season overall in this metric at 1.469 strokes gained. Also, his 68-65 weekend at the Tokyo Olympics gained him some confidence heading into this final regular-season tournament. After the U.S. Open and The Open championships, Tokyo might have been the best thing that could have happened to Thomas. Expect him to contend this weekend.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
