Luis Torrens Gets First Career Start At Third Base
3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens will shift positions and cover the hot corner for Wednesday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays. He was originally a shortstop out of Venezuela, but has played primarily as a catcher in the MLB. However, he does often take groundball drills in the infield, so Torrens should be comfortable at third base. He'll bat sixth versus lefty Josh Fleming on Wednesday. Torrens has 12 long balls on the year, so he might have some low-end streaming appeal in this matchup.
