3 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Justin Upton isn't in the lineup for a Thursday matchup with the Texas Rangers and right-hander Spencer Howard. Upton is hitting .230 with a .319 on-base percentage, 15 home runs, and three stolen bases in 307 plate appearances this season. Jo Adell is starting in left field instead of Upton and is batting fifth. Adell has logged just nine plate appearances with the Angels this year, but already has three hits and a walk.
