Shohei Ohtani Goes Eight Strong, Homers In Win
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani (8-1) impressed on the mound Wednesday, pitching eight innings, striking out eight, and walking none while picking up the win. The only blemish on the night was a Willi Castro home run in the fifth inning. He produced on offense as well, going 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the eighth to help secure the 3-1 victory. It was another example of why Ohtani is one of the most exciting players in baseball. He now has a 2.79 ERA with 120 strikeouts in 100 IP, and he's blasted 40 HRs with a 1.011 OPS. He continues to be one of the best fantasy options on both sides of the ball and is a must-start every day.
