3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Diego Castillo blew a save Thursday night against the Texas Rangers. Seattle took a five-run lead into the ninth inning, but fellow reliever Anthony Misiewicz allowed three runs without recording an out, and then Castillo came on to complete the meltdown, allowing two runs on one hit and one walk. He struck out two batters. Castillo was already filling a set-up capacity most of the time for Seattle, and this won't help him cut into Paul Sewald's closer role.
