Week 3 NFL Preseason - DFS Prop Picks for PrizePicks

Hello everybody and welcome! The 2021 NFL Preseason is underway and that means our new friends over at PrizePicks have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power play or the flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the best and easiest to win NFL DFS games in the industry. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For NFL, Single Stat consists of quarterback passing yards, running back rushing yards, and wide receiver receiving yards in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Tonight, we will look at some single-stat and fantasy score props for some of Week 3's games this weekend.

Single Stat and Fantasy Score NFLP Totals

Jacob Eason over 112.5 passing yards - The Colts have said that they will be resting most of their starters for this one, which means Eason should see plenty of playing time and will also be starting in this game. The Lions have an awful pass defense as they allowed quarterbacks to throw for 297 yards per game in 2020, which was ranked third-worst in the league. There is still a slight possibility that Eason will be asked to start Week 1 if Carson Wentz is not available, so they will want him to be as ready as possible by giving him plenty of reps in this one.

Kenneth Gainwell over 5.4 fantasy score - Gainwell paced the Eagles backfield last week with five carries for 21 yards and also hauled in three passes for 23 yards. He should see a decent amount of playing time in this one as a rookie who will be getting his final look before the regular season. The Jets were awful against pass-catching backs in 2020 as they allowed the fourth-most receptions (90) and the 11th-most receiving yards per game (38) to running backs. The fact that PrizePicks uses a PPR format for fantasy points should certainly help him get over this total.

Mitchell Trubisky under 8.6 fantasy score - Trubisky threw the ball 28 times and played quite a bit of time in last week's revenge game against the Chicago Bears. That being said, he still only managed to score roughly 13 fantasy points in that game. He will likely not see the same type of volume in this final tune-up before the regular season and will also be facing a much tougher defense in the Packers. In 2020, the Packers allowed quarterbacks to score just over 15 fantasy points per game, which was ranked fifth-best in the league.

Ameer Abdullah over 6.7 fantasy score - You could play this or over his 31.5 rushing yards prop and I would not blame you. He should see plenty of playing time once again with Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison likely sitting out. Last week against the Colts, Abdullah carried the ball six times for 35 yards and also hauled in three of four targets for six yards. He will be going up against the Chiefs who allowed the 10th-most rushing yards to backs in 2020, the ninth-most receptions, and the third-most receiving yards.

Overall recommendation for this play: FLEX
