3 years agoIt seems hard to believe that Rory McIlroy is ranked just 16th in the FedEx Cup Standings but yet the golfer is. He needed a very good weekend (65-67) just to finish in the top-five at the BMW Championship. McIlroy putted well and struck the ball like the former number one ranked golfer used to. That has been the oddest thing. McIlroy is ranked just 13 in the world right now. Despite that, he comes in with a puncher's chance after that fourth last week. He does have a knack to deliver at the moment or at least contend. There was that fourth at the Olympics as well. It comes down again to putting because he ranks eighth in strokes gained from tee-to-green. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
