Raiders Sign Peyton Barber
3 years agoThe Las Vegas Raiders have signed running back Peyton Barber from the Washington practice squad to solidify the position after Jalen Richard was placed on the injured reserve list. Barber played in Washington last season where he finished with 94 carries for 258 yards and four touchdowns after he spent the first four seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 27-year-old will now play behind Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake, so he will likely be limited early on for touches. If either of the two misses any time during the season, Barber would see an increased role, most of which would likely be close to the goal line. Still, there figures to be better options for fantasy managers even if this were to happen. The biggest loser of this signing could potentially be Jacobs because he now has two other running backs who can vulture some work close to the endzone.
