3 years agoSeattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens had another strong game Friday night against the Kansas City Royals, going 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and a run scored. Torrens has been stronger against left-handed pitching all season, but this outing was notably against the right-handed Jon Heasley. Torrens is now slashing .318/.365/.466 in his last 30 games and 88 at-bats. Playing nearly every day at designated hitter, those numbers could make him a viable option in two-catcher formats, especially if his platoon splits start to even out.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
