3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider was back on the mound in the ninth inning against the Oakland Athletics Tuesday, and he allowed one hit in an inning of work to convert his 10th save of the season. It was a solid bounce-back outing for Steckenrider, who had allowed runs in back-to-back outings for the first time this season in his previous two appearances. Steckenrider is primarily the set-up man to Paul Sewald, but with a 2.20 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and a manager who's willing to mix and match in the back of the bullpen, Steckenrider has more value than most non-closers.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
