Paul Sewald Allows A Run In 10th Save
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Paul Sewald recorded his 10th save of the year against the Oakland Athletics Thursday, giving up one run on a Matt Olson home run and striking out two batters. The Mariners now have had three different relievers save at least 10 games, which is a major league record. Sewald continues to strike out many batters, with 95 in 58 1/3 innings, but he has a 4.50 ERA in September. With save chances seemingly split with Drew Steckenrider, Sewald is much more valuable in leagues that reward holds as well.
