DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (9/25/21): MLB DFS Lineups

juan soto fantasy baseball rankings outfield MLB injury news

The Saturday split is about the same as last Saturday. There are six early games and nine games on the later slate. We have some good games with playoff implications here. We also have teams that have mailed it in and are using six pitchers for about five outs each. It really puts a dent into our options, so we'll mostly stick to games that have something riding on them.

Most of the humidity that gripped the country for the last four months has gone the way of the dodo bird. It's still going to be hot in Phoenix. We don't have much for rain going on and we have those crosswinds or winds blowing in that so often happen when the weather gets cooler.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 9/25/2021. The lineup will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also check out today's FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks and read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports too. It’s also important to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, contact me on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Corbin Burnes -MIL vs. NYM ($10,600)

Eric Lauer locked down the Mets last night. Burnes is a good bet to do it again tonight. His ERA is 1.35 runs higher at home this year, sitting at an appalling 2.99. That's how good Burnes has been this year. The Mets offense has cooled off since a mid-September heater. This Brewers pitching staff isn't helping their cause any. Burnes held the Mets to one run in 5.2 innings with eight strikeouts earlier this year. That seems a fair assumption for tonight.

Tyler Anderson - SEA at LAA ($7,500)

Anderson isn't a big strikeout guy, but he has done a good job of limiting damage as a Mariner. He has a 3.38 ERA in ten starts with Seattle and has even ticked up the strikeouts a bit with 46 in 56 innings. The Angels are hitting a miserable .211 in the month of September with just 65 runs in 20 games. That's a lot of outs for Anderson to pile up even if he doesn't have those sexy strikeout numbers.

Other Options: Robbie Ray ($10,400), Lance Lynn ($9,200), Chris Ellis ($6,600)

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Keibert Ruiz - C, WAS at CIN ($4,500)

Ruiz is closing out the season in style. He is hitting a robust .400 over the last ten games with a homer and 11 RBI. Add in the nice park upgrade in Cincinnati and a struggling Vladimir Gutierrez on the mound, and we have every reason we need not to punt catcher tonight.

Christian Walker - 1B, ARI vs. LAD ($2,700)

The list of hitters that have hit Clayton Kershaw well is very short, but Walker is on it. Only Adam Dunn can match the four homers that Walker has against Kershaw and most of those were done before Kershaw became one of the most dominant pitchers of this generation. I may be wasting $2700, but I'll be in good shape in a GPP if Walker breaks his tie with Mr. Dunn.

Marcus Semien - 2B, TOR at MIN ($5,300)

Semien smacked his 42nd homer last night, his third bomb in the last week. Semien is closing in on 100 RBI, and considering the sorry state of the Twins' pitching staff, he might just make it there tonight. He only needs two more. Semien is also one homer away from tying Davey Johnson's single season record for a second baseman. He could make history tonight, and if he does, he will do so in my lineup.

Breyvic Valera - 3B, TOR at MIN ($2,900)

We need to save money somewhere if we want a couple of Giants, pieces of the Reds game, and still have a decent pitcher or two. Valera is a good place to do that. He is hitting .321 over the last ten games with 10 of his 15 RBI on the season in that span. He has little power to speak of and hits near the bottom of the order, but he's hitting well against a bad pitching staff in a good offense. We can do worse with a punt.

Brandon Crawford - SS, SF at COL ($5,500)

The Giants have clubbed Jon Gray like a baby seal. They are hitting .315 with seven homers against Gray in 178 at bats. Crawford, Brandon Belt, and Alex Dickerson have all homered twice off of Gray. Crawford leads the Giants with 10 RBI against him. Crawford and Belt are running hot anyway. A trip to Coors to see Jon Gray is a nice way for them to hit value. If I can bring myself to not use Walker, I'll have Belt with Crawford too.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Juan Soto - OF, WAS at CIN ($6,200)

Yeah, the price is ridiculous, but so it Soto's hot streak. He is hitting .461 in September with seven homers and 21 RBI. He has even kicked in a couple of steals! Soto has been even better (if you can imagine that) over the last ten games. He is hitting .531 in that span with four homers, nine RBI, and 12 runs scored. Don't overthink this. Soto could get us more points than anyone in Coors.

Mitch Haniger - OF, SEA vs. LAA ($5,100)

Haniger has been a bit all-or-nothing lately, but he has five homers in the last 13 games with 11 RBI and eight runs in that span. He also has two career homers in just 13 at-bats against Jaime Barria. The chances of him coming up clutch again tonight are better than average.

Austin Hays - OF, BAL vs. TEX ($3,400)

Hays is hitting 35 points higher at home than on the road and he's facing Jordan Lyles. That automatically makes any Oriole with a bat in their hands a candidate for a salary saver. There's more to it for Hays though. He is hitting .316 with four homers, six runs, and 10 RBI over the last ten games. He's target number one on the Orioles tonight.

DraftKings DFS Stacks

  • Baltimore Orioles vs. Jordan Lyles
  • San Francisco Giants vs. Jon Gray
  • Washington Nationals vs. Vladimir Gutierrez
  • Atlanta Braves vs. Craig Stammen/Pierce Johnson
  • Sneaky Stack: Minnesota Twins vs. Robbie Ray
