3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Andrew Kittredge allowed two runs on four hits while striking out two over an inning during Friday's 4-3 win over the New York Yankees. He entered Friday's game in the ninth inning to protect a three-run lead. The 31-year-old allowed RBI singles to Joey Gallo and Brett Gardner, but struck out Rougned Odor for the final out to record the save. He's been hit hard over his last eight appearances, owning a 6.23 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and a 6:1 K: BB over 8 1/3 innings. Kittredge remains the Rays closer, but Tampa Bay could turn to Pete Fairbanks or Nick Anderson during the postseason if he struggles.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
