Talen Horton-Tucker Out Against Phoenix On Sunday
3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers guard Talen Horton-Tucker (thumb) won't play during Sunday's exhibition against the reigning Western Conference Champions, the Phoenix Suns. The 20-year-old is currently dealing with a right thumb sprain, and while it doesn't appear to be anything serious, the team is playing it safe by keeping him out. Horton-Tucker signed a three-year, $32 million contract during the offseason to remain in L.A. He averaged nine points and nearly three assists last season and could see an uptick in production now that Alex Caruso is a member of the Chicago Bulls. The third-year man may also see a few starts here and there throughout the year and could conceivably exceed his value in fantasy drafts. Still, his shooting percentages haven't been the best since entering the league, so category managers could take a hit in that area, assuming he doesn't improve.
