3 years agoMilwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has made a habit of amassing double-doubles over the past handful of seasons, and Tuesday's season-opening victory over Brooklyn was no different. On the same night that he received his NBA championship ring from last season, Antetokounmpo went out and made mincemeat of the Nets defense en route to a 32-point, 14-rebound, seven-assist showing. While the returns are a tremendously small sample size, he even shot 7-for-9 from the free-throw stripe after his well-documented woes there during the playoffs last year. Jrue Holiday (heel) departed the contest early, which could open up even more ball-handling opportunities for Antetokounmpo when he returns to action Thursday vs. Miami, who did a stout job in keeping his MVP-level production under wraps in three matchups last season.--Jesse Borek
