Grant Williams Will Start In Season Opener
3 years agoBoston Celtics power forward Grant Williams will slot into the starting five for Wednesday's season opener vs. the Knicks. Williams draws the start due to the absence of Al Horford (health protocols), although he has traditionally remained an offensive afterthought even when shifted off the bench. In 14 career starts, Williams has averaged just 5.5 points per game, with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown having a higher probability of seeing an uptick in offensive usage. Still, for those in search of a low-end DFS option at the 11th hour, Williams presents a solid choice; in the long-term, his hold on a starting spot remains tenuous.
