3 years agoSan Antonio Spurs small forward Devin Vassell wasted no time making an impact in 2021-22, opening the year with a career-high 19-point performance in Wednesday's win over Orlando. Vassell was tremendously efficient from the field in his 25 minutes, shooting 8-for-12 overall, including going 3-for-4 from behind the arc. But he continued his multi-category contributions in addition to the scoring, adding five assists, two rebounds and two steals. Known during his rookie year primarily for his defensive contributions, there's an opening for Vassell to become an exciting two-way weapon for the Spurs this season. For now, he remains primarily a DFS upside play in smaller slates, but he's undoubtedly a name to monitor as he continues to get more reps.--Jesse Borek
