Brook Lopez Will Remain Sidelined Through Monday’s Game
3 years agoMilwaukee Bucks center Brook Lopez (back) had already been ruled out for Saturday's contest, but head coach Mike Budenholzer let it be known before tip-off that the veteran big man would miss Monday's game against Indiana as well. The team is clearly taking a conservative approach to the center's back soreness, which has allowed Giannis Antetokounmpo to serve as the team's de facto starting five. With Bobby Portis (hamstring) also out of the mix, Jordan Nwora and Sandro Mamukelashvili have reaped added minutes, although their totals from Saturday will likely be telling about where they stand heading into Monday's outing. Lopez's next chance to suit up comes Wednesday when the Bucks return home vs. the Timberwolves.
