3 years agoDetroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham (ankle) will practice with the team Friday. Detroit has yet to see what their 2021 first-round pick is capable of, as Cunningham suffered an ankle injury during training camp. General manager Troy Weaver had said that the rookie could make his debut on Saturday against Orlando- though head coach Dwane Casey told reporters that there is still no timetable for his return. At any rate, it appears that Cunningham, who averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.3 triples, and 1.6 steals per game as a freshman at Oklahoma State, seems to be nearing his NBA debut.--Tim Capurso
