3 years agoCharlotte Hornets power forward/center P.J. Washington (elbow) has been ruled out both for Friday's contest against Sacramento, along with Sunday's matchup vs. the Clippers due to a left elbow hyperextension. With the team planning to reevaluate him next week, his odds of suiting up Monday against the Lakers don't look particularly strong either. Washington has had to acclimate to a reserve role this season after being a full-time starter during his first two professional seasons, and the results have not been beneficial: 9.9 points and 4.4 rebounds, on pace to set new career lows. Jalen McDaniels and Nick Richards stand to see some elevated run in the second unit while Washington is down.--Jesse Borek
