3 years agoPhoenix Suns center Deandre Ayton (leg) will remain sidelined for Friday's contest against the Grizzlies as he continues to deal with a right leg contusion. Frank Kaminsky delivered a stunning 31-point eruption in Ayton's place Wednesday, so the veteran can be seen as a solid short-term contributor while the former No. 1 overall pick is sidelined. Prior to his injury, Ayton had reeled off three consecutive double-doubles, en route to averaging a double-double on the year. While Phoenix has ample offensive weapons, Ayton's floor is as solid as they come in the frontcourt when healthy. His next chance to suit up comes Sunday vs. Houston.--Jesse Borek
