Blue Jays Interested In Marlins Starters
3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays have checked in on the excess of pitching in the Miami Marlins rotation, including Pablo Lopez and Elieser Hernandez, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Lopez had a great season on the mound, going 5-5 while posting a 3.07 ERA with a 1.12 WHIP and 27.5 strikeout percentage, but in just 20 starts and 102 2/3 innings. Hernandez dealt with injury trouble for most of the season but looked decent when healthy, pitching to a 1-3 record and 4.18 ERA with 53 strikeouts to just 14 walks in 11 starts and 51 2/3 innings. The Jays are in need of rotation help with Steven Matz and Robbie Ray both on the free-agent market at the moment. If either arm is dealt north of the border, it would certainly help their fantasy value with the firepower in the Jays lineup.
