NHL DFS Analysis and Picks for 11/21
Good Evening and welcome back! After yesterday’s debacle with the Red Wings and the Coyotes starting a win-streak, we will continue to pick on the Coyotes here. There are quite a few teams on the slate that will be working on the second-half of their back-to-backs, namely Washington who is in a good matchup.
Players Out
Players Expected Back
NHL DFS Goalies
Jonathan Quick- DK $8.2K || FD $8.6K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
Even with the Kings playing in the second-half of a back-to-back, I will still believe in them against the lowly Coyotes. Quick has been phenomenal when he has played this season with a 5-5 record. In his last five matches, he has won four of them and he has posted 20+ points in every matchup. Yes, the Coyotes are somehow performing better, but they still continue to struggle to score and the Kings are no slouch when it comes to defense.
Others To Consider (Cash/GPP): Vanecek(DK $7.9K || FD $7.9K), Sorokin(DK $7.7K || FD $7.8K), Fleury(DK $7.5K || FD $7.4K)
NHL DFS Centers
Phillip Danault-DK $4.2K || FD $4.4K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
Danault has been doing quite well as of recently and he is averaging over 3.0 shots per game through his last five appearances. Ever since Athanasiou joined his lineup, he has looked much more confident. This is a perfect opportunity to jump on the wagon.
Kirby Dach- DK $5K || FD $4.8K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
Dach’s price has gone up lately and it is unjustified. The centerman is boom-or-bust, but yet he plays between two dynamic wingers. He now gets a plus matchup against the struggling Canucks to hopefully continue his two-game point streak where he has 2.0 assists, 2.0 shots and 3.0 blocked shots.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kuznetsov(DK $7.5K || FD $8.1K), Kopitar(DK $7.3K || FD $7.9K), Miller(DK $5.6K || FD $7.2K), McMichael(DK $4.4K|| FD $4K)
NHL DFS Wings
Wings
Adrian Kempe- DK $4.2K || FD $4.5K
Opponent - Arizona Coyotes
After teammate Viktor Arvidsson returned to the lineup, Kempe was demoted to the second line, however, it did not last for long. With Dustin Brown struggling, Kemp has taken back his left-wing spot on Kopitar's line. Against the Coyotes who are traveling on the second-half of a back-to-back, this seems like a no-brainer to me.
Alex Ovechkin- DK $9.3K || FD $9.1K
Opponent - Seattle Kraken
Welcome to the lock of the slate. Ovechkin is as trigger-happy as always and now he gets the chance to play against one of the leakiest defenses in the league. There is a reason he is the highest-priced player by $300 on the slate and it would prove difficult to pass on this delicious matchup.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Kane(DK $8.3K || FD $9K), DeBrincat(DK $6.9K || FD $7.5K), Arvidsson(DK $ 5.8K || FD $5.5K), Gaudreau(DK $5.7K || FD $7.2K), Oshie(DK $4.9K || FD $6.6K), Mangiapane(DK $4.5K || FD $5.9K), Sheary(DK $3.5K || FD $3.9K)
NHL DFS Defensemen
Defense
Vince Dunn- DK $3K || FD $3.9K
Opponent - Washington Capitals
Dunn has not been what many expected when he joined the newly franchised Kraken. However, he will get the perfect opportunity to showcase his defensive abilities against the high-flying Capitals. With the great floor from shot-blocking and shots in general, plus the role on the power-play, this adds up to be a perfect spot for a low price.
Seth Jones- DK $7.2K || FD $7K
Opponent - Vancouver Canucks
Jones is on an eight-game point streak with a 2-6-8 line with 22.0 shots and 15.0 blocked shots. Need I say more? The defender is the most consistent player on the Blackhawks this season and he is walking into a terrific matchup.
Others To Consider (CASH/GPP): Hughes(DK $5.3K || FD $6.2K), Roy(DK $4.4K || FD $3.5K), Andersson(DK $5.2K || FD $4K), Myers(DK $3.1K || FD $3.7K), Clague(DK $2.6K || FD $3.8K)
