3 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small/power forward LeBron James has been levied a one-game suspension for his role in Sunday's altercation with the Pistons' Isaiah Stewart. James caught Stewart with an elbow while jockeying for a rebound, which bloodied the big man and set off a wild scene in Detroit that nearly devolved into a brawl. The decision to suspend James is one of sizable magnitude, considering that L.A. travels to Madison Square Garden to play the Knicks on Tuesday, one of the biggest matchups of the NBA regular season. James has missed time early this year due to an abdominal injury, during which Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, and Talen Horton-Tucker all saw elevated roles, which stands to be the case again Tuesday.
