3 years agoNew York Knicks centers Nerlens Noel (knee) and Taj Gibson (groin) have been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Hawks, leaving the team's second unit further shorthanded. Without his two primary backups, Mitchell Robinson could see additional minutes funneled in his direction, but Julius Randle could pitch in at the five as well. Noel has been limited to just eight games this season, having battled myriad injuries in addition to fluctuating between the starting five and bench. Gibson's absence has now extended to five games; having scored in double figures just once this season, he remains an avoidable fantasy commodity even when healthy. The next chance the Knicks have to get their frontcourt at full strength comes Tuesday vs. Brooklyn.--Jesse Borek
